We aim to keep in stock a selection of Hope’s conventional bearing sets in all colors, Cane Creek’s 40-series sets, and a few more affordable options in silver and black. All bearing versions from the manufacturers we carry can be ordered—delivery time is typically around 1–2 weeks depending on the manufacturer. So, if you need a tapered bearing or some other pick’n’mix solution, shoot us an email with your question and we’ll get back to you with the price and delivery time!

If figuring out the right bearing size feels like a hassle and you’re not quite sure what you need, here are a few tips. Getting familiar with the S.H.I.S. system already helps a lot. But learning it and measuring the parts can be a bit of a job—and maybe not something you’re up for if you just want to order a bearing. In that case, do this:

• If your frame/bike is relatively new, there’s a good chance the bearing standard info is available on the manufacturer’s website.
• If not, sending a quick email inquiry to the manufacturer or retailer might help.
• If you bought your frame/bike from us, just give us a call or drop us an email—we’ll get you an answer quickly.
• If you got the frame elsewhere, sending us photos, model numbers, etc. might help us identify it remotely. But there are some headsets out there that are near impossible to figure out just by looking at them—so in those cases, we’ll have to physically measure the parts. Worst case scenario, you’ll need to bring the bike/frame (with the fork) to us so we can be 100% sure.
